Better Broadband Scheme for Northern Ireland

Better Broadband Scheme for Northern Ireland

Connecting Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland is a country known for its castles, glacial valleys and mountainous regions, all of which surround Ireland's centrepiece: Lough Neagh. It’s a picturesque location and landscape, but it does spell trouble for wired connections and regular phone masts, whether it’s for internet, phone or data.

Landline connections are few and far between in some areas of Northern Ireland, leaving many with frustratingly slow internet connections.
But not anymore, at Broadband Wherever we will have a solution to get you connected. Getting you on-line with superfast broadband.

The Better Broadband Voucher Scheme

If you’re fed up with slow speeds and you’re not likely to get the speed you were hoping for through your telephone line, then broadband satellite could be perfect for you. Through the BDUK broadband scheme, you can claim up to £350 from the government to put towards the installation of satellite broadband.

How 4G & Satellite Broadband Can Help

Unlike regular broadband, satellite and 4G broadband isn’t confined by location; where you live will not affect the speed of your connection. By using special equipment, you can gain two-way access to broadband services, even in the most remote areas of Northern Ireland.

How to Claim

First, you need to request your Better Broadband Voucher. We will do this on your behalf, to start the process and request your voucher just complete the forms online at Broadband Wherever, and we’ll take care of the rest. We’ll first need to apply and validate your code, which will be linked to your postcode before we can begin the installation. Installation typically takes 10 days from the time your Voucher has been approved.

If you don’t meet the requirements, we can still supply you with a 4G or satellite broadband connection outside of the scheme. Alternatively you may be able to get Superfast Fibre with unlimited usage.
